Lucia Chang VP of Professional Development Major: Business Administration & Political Economy Year: Junior Hometown: Concord, CA & Arequipa, Peru Pronouns: She/Her/Hers Email: ucblbsa.pd@gmail.com Hola everybody! My name is Lucia Chang, a proud transfer student majoring in Business Administration and Political Economy. Originally from Peru, I immigrated to the United States as a young child and have grown up in the East Bay since, aspiring to one day become a part of the Cal community. Now at UC Berkeley, I have found this sense of community within the LBSA familia. I became an intern for the Professional Development Committee in Fall 2020, where I organized workshops focused on networking and community-building as well as encouraged LBSA members' successes in their recruitment processes with one-on-one resume review sessions. Outside of college, I am co-founder and administrator of my family’s e-commerce wood furniture business. I’m dedicated to promoting growth by leading client consultations, conceptualizing and implementing marketing strategies, and refining the buyer experience with personalized customer care. Since establishing our shop five years ago, my passion for business has intensified and motivated my journey today into the Haas School of Business. My entrepreneurial spirit drives my passion to learn and progress. I believe this growth mindset aligns with LBSA’s mission to support community members in both personal and professional development. As VP of Professional Development, I aim to utilize my dynamic skills as a small-business owner, curious transfer student, and passionate community member to inspire a positive experience for LBSA members in their ventures into the corporate world. |
