LBSA Internal Scholarships
LBSA established three Internal Scholarship Programs to support and empower LBSA members who are actively engaged in the organization and embody LBSA's Four Pillars. Every April, LBSA launches the internal scholarship applications for the programs below:
Committee Member of the Year Scholarship
The Committee Member of the Year Scholarship is awarded to ONE committee member who went above and beyond in their role by demonstrating remarkable dedication and commitment to their committee. The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize the contributions of outstanding LBSA committee members who exemplified LBSA's mission. Eligibility Requirements: 1. Must be a paid LBSA member 2. ALPFA Convention Scholarship
The ALPFA Convention Scholarship is an all-expenses paid scholarship for LBSA members to attend the ALPFA Summer Convention. This scholarship includes round-trip airfare, lodging, and registration fees. ALPFA (Association of Latino Professionals For America) hosts an annual career convention for Latinx students from across the United States to participate in professional development workshops, exclusive networking sessions with recruiters, on-site recruitment interviews, and career fairs. This year, the ALPFA Convention will take place in Las Vegas, NV from August 2nd, 2020 - August 6th, 2020. Deadline to Apply: April 22nd, 2020 at 11:59PM |
Top-Pointer Scholarship
The Top-Pointer Scholarship is awarded to ONE new LBSA member and ONE returning LBSA member for demonstrating outstanding participation and engagement in LBSA. For every event that LBSA hosts, LBSA members can earn points by attending and actively participating. The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize the commitment of devoted LBSA members who consistently pursue professional development opportunities.
The LBSA Executive Administrator will keep track of members' points throughout the academic year, therefore no application is required. If you have any questions regarding your total number of points, please contact ucblbsa.executive@gmail.com
